Spa Etiquette & Policies

In order to provide the most relaxing and restorative experience to all our guests, we ask that everyone visiting Avani Spa observe the following guidelines with respect for other guests and our associates.

  • Environment

    Avani Spa is committed to providing a relaxing experience for our guests. Please adhere to the policies below to ensure a calm environment for everyone.

    Thank you for your efforts in connecting with nature by disconnecting from electronic devices, ensuring a quiet sanctuary for all. All digital devices must be placed on silent or vibrate throughout your stay. Although silent use of your digital device is permitted, watching videos or listening to music without earbuds is prohibited. Guests of the Avani Spa understand that they may be approached by one of our staff members with a gentle reminder of our cell phone free policy.

    We ask that all personal items are placed in your locker and kept there during services and your time enjoying our spa amenities. No purses, bags, gym bags or luggage are allowed in the pool area. Outside food and beverage is not allowed in the spa or pool areas.

    Committed to providing a healthy and relaxing experience for all guests, the Avani Spa is a smoke-free environment. Please refrain from smoking of any kind (tobacco, cigars, cigarettes, vaping, and marijuana— including medical).

    To ensure your safety please be conscious of the effects of alcohol when participating in fitness and spa treatment activities. The intake of any alcoholic beverage before or shortly after any massage or bodywork is not recommended as the impact of alcohol may be intensified by certain treatments.

  • Spa Reservations

    We strongly recommend that you make your spa reservations several weeks in advance of your desired appointment date, ideally at the time you make your overnight accommodations. Avani has a very high business level, especially on weekends and holidays, and it may be difficult to book services if you wait until you arrive. For guests not registered at The Abbey Resort, a valid credit card will be required to reserve your spa appointment.

    • For couples services or parties of three or four guests, or guests who are pregnant, please contact the Spa Front Desk at 262-275-1806.
    • Groups greater than four people can be booked by calling our Spa Group Sales Coordinator at 262-275-1860.

    It is our intention to help you maximize the many benefits of your spa experience. We encourage you to communicate your questions or thoughts about your treatment to your therapist so we may accommodate your needs.

    When scheduling your treatments, please notify our Spa Concierge of any special requests, including your preference of a male or female therapist.

    Guests must be at least 16 years of age to receive treatments and use the spa facilities.

    For spa or salon appointment cancellations, please notify us at least 24 hours prior to your appointment time in order to avoid being charged for 100% of the treatment’s value. Spa groups of 4 or more guests require a 72-hour cancellation. Cancellations without proper notice of scheduled appointments will be charged in full, as will NO-SHOWS. Same-day spa appointments are non-cancellable and are charged at full value. Please note that if you arrive late for your services, it will end as scheduled as to not delay the next scheduled guest.

  • When You Arrive

    We suggest you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your treatment experience to ensure that you receive the full benefit of your service. All services will finish on time to allow our next guests their full treatment, and the full value of your treatment will be charged.

    We ask that you do not bring jewelry or valuable personal possessions to the spa as we cannot be responsible for lost items.

    Complimentary use of spa robes and slippers is provided for all spa guests. Our treatment providers are professionally trained to properly drape throughout the service.

    Gratuity is at your discretion at Avani Spa. It is not included in the cost of services. To show your appreciation to your therapist, an average gratuity for spa services is 20%. Envelopes are available at the spa reception desk, or you can leave a gratuity as a room or credit card charge.

  • Daily Spa Admission

    Admission to Avani Spa is complimentary for any guest aged 16 or older, who has booked a spa service of $100 or more. Day Passes are available to purchase for $30 per person Monday through Thursday and $40.00 per person Friday through Sunday. Based on business levels, spa access is limited and may not be available on weekends and holidays. Day Passes can only be purchased at the Avani Spa on the day of usage and are not presold.
