Lakeside Laughs Comedy Night

Headliner: Jeanie Doogan
Jeanie began her comedy career at the tender age of five, discovering that humor was her best survival tool as the youngest of eight children. After early “success” with her knock-knock jokes at the family dinner table, Jeanie went on to be featured on Team CoCo’s House All Star Show and has become a regular performer at Chicago’s top comedy venues, including Zanies Comedy Clubs and The Laugh Factory. Known for her sharp wit and relatable humor, Jeanie brings her hilarious take on everyday life to audiences across the Midwest.

Main Feature: Janice Rodriguez
Janice Rodriguez (that’s “Janice,” rhymes with “Denise”) is a Chicago-based recovering entrepreneur and comedian whose quick humor and cultural commentary make her a standout voice on the comedy scene. She’s the Founder and Executive Producer of Las Locas Comedy, a showcase celebrating Latina and Latinx comedic talent, and Co-Founder of the Latina Comedy Festival, which recently celebrated its fourth year in Chicago. Janice’s performances—infused with stories of her Spanglish upbringing, married life, and professional misadventures—have graced stages across the U.S., including Zanies, Laugh Factory, Improv, and Helium Comedy Clubs.
