BicyclesAbbey bicycle rental isn't only offered in the summer but also the early months of fall as well. Take the family on a bike ride through Fontana to breeze by the town. The Abbey Activity Department rents different types of bikes to guests at no charge! Grab a map and ride up to Duck Pond or to the park with a backpack full of picnic supplies for the ultimate fall experience.
Boat ShowHead to the water for the annual Antique & Classic Boat Show, held at The Abbey. The show features antique and classic runabouts, as well as utility, lapstrake, outboard, and Streblow boats; boats are on display throughout the weekend for free public viewing. The general public as well as guests are encouraged to attend to enjoy the beautiful boats, live music, great food, and local vendors. The Kettle Corn sold on the harbor is a definite must-try! The boat show is held September 24th and 25th with a parade at 4:00 pm on Saturday.
Pearce's Farm StandPearce's Farm Stand provides the very best locally grown produce. They offer a variety of items to satisfy your every craving for seasonal, fresh, fruits, vegetables and more. Bring the entire family for the fun experiences and stay for the many awesome opportunities they offer. Families can enjoy their large jumping hay bales, corn maze, helicopter rides and hay rides to the pumpkin patch. They also offer a haunted house and hay ride in October. Apple Barn Orchard & WineryTake a scenic drive on over to the Apple Barn in Elkhorn, Wisconsin less than 12 miles from The Abbey. The Apple Barn is an enjoyable experience with beautiful landscape, sights, sounds and aroma of nature all around you. On the weekends, walk between the canopied apple trees and enjoy the cool fall breeze with the sweet smell of wild flowers. Hand pick apples while sipping on warm apple cider. They also offer a pumpkin patch and hay rides as well. The Country Store is also open for your leisure, buy a caramel apple, fresh cider donuts or chocolate chip cookie for the ride home.
OktoberfestLake Geneva Oktoberfest is a family festival in downtown Lake Geneva. Bring your entire family down to enjoy pony rides, bouncy houses, German music, children's performances, brats, potato pancakes, cider donuts, the Giant Pumpkin Weigh-In and Sprechtoberfest's beer tent! Stroll through the lovely shops and find many sales and discounts going on around town. While in the area, walk along the lake path and take in the beautiful fall colors everyone loves so much. This event is held on October 8th and 9th.
Lake Geneva Canopy ToursLake Geneva Canopy Tours provides year-round, sky-high adventure with a 2.5 hour Canopy Tour. With 16 different obstacles, it offers both mental and physical activities for participants of all ages. There are 8 different zip lines at Canopy Tours, the longest one being about 841 feet. This is the perfect way to spend a day with the family and it teaches you to work together and support each other. Fun fact, one of the zip lines takes rider to 45 mph, making you go as fast as a car.
