The Abbey Resort Hires Long-Time Resident and Respected Resort Manager as Director of Operations

FONTANA, Wis., May 2, 2011 — The new director of operations at The Abbey Resort & Spa started his career on the right foot — right here at the resort.

Veteran hospitality industry manager Todd Baior, 37, began his career 16 years ago as The Abbey's manager of the Waterfront Restaurant. He built his stellar reputation in Lake Geneva, Wis., and Austin, Texas, where he led improvements in sales and revenues, enhanced culinary and beverage operations and oversaw the highest standards of operating procedures.

Baior's many accomplishments include developing the largest wine list in the state of Wisconsin — to more than 900 selections — at Geneva National Resort, where he increased restaurant revenues by triple-digit percentages, and oversaw extensive renovations while boosting profits and revenues.

Baior, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, enjoys developing leaders at all levels of an organization and is experienced in every aspect of hospitality and facility management, including sales, wellness, engineering, housekeeping, food and beverage, and membership and customer loyalty.
